Gay’s are a GIFT from God

Currently, it is December 24th, 2024 and the time is 9:19 pm.  And I thank God I made it through this year. I am so excited to write this post. Truly, if there is any post of mine that should go viral, it’s this one!

Why? Because I am going to touch on a very important topic. And I know you  saw the title! You either frowned, smiled, or felt puzzled. If your reaction was the last two please stick around! You are my target audience. If you frowned and felt your blood boil   the exit is in the upper right corner. Tap it twice! Thank you.

Alright, the coast is clear. All the homophobes are gone. This is officially a safe space. I guess now is a great time to introduce myself.  Hi, my name is Moy Omar. (As if you couldn’t tell already) If you search my name, scour the internet, you’ll find nothing about me. Actually, there is a spiritual reason for that, God brought a scripture to mind. But, before I could turn to the page, the air from my ceiling fan flipped to it.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me; And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

Isaiah 49:1-3

After all these years of being in silence it’s time for me to come out.

colors shattered God

But, before I begin, I need to say this.

If a religious person made you feel bad for how God created you… Please please please, accept my apology on their behalf. I rebuke every curse and word of death that any religious person has ever spoken over you. And I speak life and blessings over your journey. Being gay is not a sin, nor is it an abomination.

And anyone who truly knows God and reads the Bible, would know that it’s an abomination to tell people where their final destination is. I am not the holy Trinity, I am not the Judge, I do not hold the Book Of Life (that lists every name who will enter Heaven). Therefore, never in my life have I told someone they’re going to hell. So, if you encounter so called Christians who boldly state where someone is going, just know they are not operating in the will of God. No one knows what exceptions God will make, so it’s not in our place to guess.

Furthermore, if it wasn’t for God pulling me close and giving me divine revelations, I would still be walking around feeling lost, confused, and intimidated by religious leaders. But not anymore, and as I share what I know, I hope your religious trauma fades.

Okay, now that I’ve addressed that, let’s dig in.

I guess the best place to start is — in the beginning. (See where I’m headed with this?)  Oh yes, we’re going to talk about Adam and Eve.

Now some Christians use Adam and Eve to explain why being gay is wrong. But, I would love to ask them: what is this (heterosexual) couple famous for?  Oh — I remember, disobeying God and causing sin to enter the world. Yet somehow we’re supposed to believe they’re couple goals — right. (Seems to me heterosexuality was doomed from the start. I’m kidding — or maybe not.)

Homophobes try to blame gay people for all the evil’s in the world, but according to the Holy Bible, the first heterosexual couple are to blame for all the evils in the world. And when we examine scripture further, the serpent deceived Eve first. He never tried to go after Adam when he was alone in Eden. Which means the serpent is straight too!

And the events get juicer. Tell me, what’s the first thing Adam did after they ate from the forbidden tree? Don’t know? Don’t remember? I got you!

And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

Genesis 3:12

He blamed her for his actions! Talk about a tale as old as time! They were literally made for each other and he turned on her to save himself. (Heterosexuality still doesn’t look promising, but, I digress.) Also, contrary to popular opinion, Adam and Eve were initially equals. Many Christian’s state Eve was designed to be submissive because she was called a “helper”. But, that’s false, Eve being submissive to Adam wasn’t Gods plan, it was Gods punishment.

thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Genesis 3:16

If Eve was already inferior, then God would not have said Adam will rule over her. So, this verse clearly proves they were once equals. But it gets worse, the consequences of their actions plagued their descendants. Eventually, the world becomes so hateful and violent that God destroyed all of humanity. Now to many people, it seems Hell won and there was nothing good born out of this fallen world.

Wrong. God always has a plan, there is no brokenness that He can’t fix. Eden was nice, but God knew He could do even better. In the book of Isaiah it is written,

For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51:3

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

Furthermore, the greatest new thing God has done, was sending Jesus to save all of humanity.

(Can I get an amen?  Turn to your neighbor and tell them God did it!Alright, let me get focused.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph is highly creative and loves to do new things. The Holy Bible starts off by saying, “In the beginning God created heaven and the earth”.  Wait, wait, wait. But there’s no mention of the other planets. Does that mean God didn’t create them? No. It just means God didn’t see fit to tell His creation everything He made or planned to make. Additionally, Genesis 1:20-21, does not give an exhaustive list of every single sea and land creature God made. Yet, believers acknowledge that God made every mammal.

Additionally, in the beginning, God created Adam and Eve to have one ethnicity, one language, and one height. Yet, when we look around today, we see people of various ethnicities, speaking various languages, and of various heights. This proves the book of Genesis was the starting point, not the ending.

So, its not far fetched to believe that God made multiple sexualities and genders. Especially, If we consider the host of Heaven, all angels don’t look alike. Some look like humans and some look like, well, indescribable. To us, they might be horrific but to God, He sees beauty. All this to say, LGBTQ people aren’t the product of a fallen world, but the product of God doing a new thing. There is no end to God’s creativity and majesty. And the LGBTQ community is a great reflection of this. We are fearfully and wonderfully made.
